Taste of India offers opportunities to explore the regional variations of India’s culinary delights in innovative ways. Guided food walks along Devon Avenue, also known as Chicago’s “Little India”, provide samplings of authentic Indian street food, and tell stories of how Indian Americans revitalized an historic Chicago neighborhood. During the pandemic, Taste of India turned virtual, with programs featuring national award-winning restauranteurs and chefs who connect us to their immigrant roots and the culinary heritage of their homeland, all the while demonstrating on camera how to prepare multi-course meals that include dishes like Morel Mushroom Biryani and Mango Flan!
